Hello everyone and welcome to another episode of my podcast, Soul Talk and Psychic Advice. I talk about many things from being psychic, spirituality, grief, life issues, issues that I see on Instagram because I read it all as a professional psychic and a somatic grief coach. So today I want to talk about something that has completely changed the accuracy of my intuitive work and honestly changed my life because I needed this. The truth is this your intuitive accuracy is not just about opening your third eye, it's about regulating your nervous system. That's why you hear me all the time talking about a somatic moment in a podcast, um, the nervous system, because it is so important. Now, a lot of people just go, if I just open up my third eye, I'd be super psychic, better clairvoyant. And yes, your third eye needs to be open, but remember our readings, our accuracy are only as good as we are healed and present within the reading. And I love to help people get there because I got help getting there. Um, I've been a professional psychic for over 24 years. I work on a major platform, one of their top advisors, but it was hard for me in the beginning. I was weirded out by my gift, plus I had to learn how to deal with people and set boundaries, and I have my own trauma that was coming to the surface, and then if you know, later on down the road, my son passed. So I had things going on, and I noticed that in our private community a lot of psychics were mean. And, you know, I've had callers say they feel judged, or they've had some psychics be mean to them. And, you know, I've called around and I experienced that because I don't read for myself, and I was surprised, but I realized that a dysregulated psychic can't do this work, you know, not for long with burnout. And I was wondering why I used to always get tired. I like the people I was talking to. Maybe one percent. It used to be like ten percent were difficult than five, but now it's down to one. And I realize the more that I work on myself is just better connections with people. So I want to share this if you're going into this work, you know, because a lot of you are gonna find yourself here. I had no idea that I would end here, end of here at age 30. You know, I was graduating chiropractic school, I was doing holistic medicine after becoming a biology graduate and thinking I was gonna be a researcher, so I was slowly going in this direction. Some of you guys are gonna have a sudden, you know, moment where you're in this direction. I went to a lot of seminars and some of the some of them were engineers, you know, that were doing best and all the woo-woo techniques. I'm like, you're an engineer, how'd you end up here? You are a biochemist, how did you end up here? So we come from different walks of life, and somehow we end up doing the spiritual work, the psychic work. So throughout the 24 years of working on myself, the more regulated my nervous system became, the clearer my intuition became. Because intuition does not come through force. It isn't like, okay, you're psychic, you're gonna always be accurate, right? Because there's also free will and human error. Sometimes people will do something just opposite or sabotage. So you're never gonna be a hundred percent accurate, but you can have a better accuracy. And and you know, it's been studied where they say most psychics are about 85% accurate. I don't think any psychic is 99% accurate, there's no way. I always say I'm like 91, 92 most of the time, and sometimes I miss things. I'm like, I'm surprised I missed that. You know, but I did, and I like that because it keeps us psychics humble, that we are humans, you know, and a gift comes through us that we're facilitators. We are not the gift, we're just blessed with being able to have the message and give it to the client. Um, and the more regulated I became, the it helped my intuition because intuition is something that has to be worked on in many ways. It comes through safety. When your nervous system feels safe, your psychic candle becomes clearer, steadier, and more reliable. So today we're going to explore why deregulation, why dysregulation blocks intuitive clarity, and how trauma impacts psychic accuracy, why somatic work increases intuitive precision, simple nervous system practices that strengthen intuition, and how to tell the difference between anxiety and intuition. Because a lot of you guys have a gift, there are a lot of gifted people out there. And by the end of this episode, you understand why nervous system regulation is one of the most important skills an intuitive can develop. It really is. It's it's been life-changing for me. And so let's talk about how intuition speaks through the body. Many people think intuition is something that only happens in the mind. But intuition is actually a full body experience. Not if you're just an empath or clear sentient, you know, clear feeling, or you you know, it comes in many ways, right? Your body will always feel it though. You know, even if you're just clairvoyant, it's part of your body, not just your mind. Your body is constantly receiving information from your environment. Tiny micro signals, subtle emotional shifts, energetic cues, relate relational relational dynamics. Your nervous system processes all the information before your mind does. Your intuition often speaks through a feeling in the stomach, tightness in the chest, warmth in the heart, a sense of expansion, goosebumps, a quiet inner knowing, a subtle yes or no feeling. And these are what you call somatic signals. Yes, your body is interpreting information faster than your conscious mind. When your nervous system is regulated, these signals become easier to recognize. But when your nervous system is overwhelmed, these signals become distorted. You may experience hypervigilance, people pleasing, fear-based interpretation, projection, difficulty trusting yourself, confusion between intuition and and anxiety. When I was younger, I was the queen of anxiety. Even my son, he used to tell me that he inherited anxiety for me, and I was kind of ashamed of that. And I apologized to him that you know, when I was younger, I couldn't deal with the stress of it all, being poor, living in the projects, trying to go to school, and you know, I would just be so anxious, and he noticed that, and you know, so it affected my intuition, definitely. And so the nervous system must feel safe enough to allow intuitive signals to come through clearly. Safety increases clarity. It really does, it makes a difference. Trauma can distort intuitive signals, it does, and if you have experienced trauma, loss, chronic stress, or emotional overwhelm, your nervous system may spend more time in protective states. Yes, and a lot of psychics have a history of trauma, and trauma does turn on the gift, but to make it more clear, you have to do the somatic work and start healing the trauma. So protective states are the fight, okay, wanting to run away and are no fight, you stay in fight, right? Flight, you want to run away, freeze, you don't know how to respond. And fawn is the people-pleasing and the overgiving, you know, all the triggers start coming on. And these states are intelligent, they are designed to keep you safe, but they can also make intuitive information harder to interpret accurately. For example, hypervigilance can feel like intuition, but it's actually scanning for danger. Anxiety can feel like a gut feeling, but it's actually fear-seeking certainty. Right? I mean, ancient gotta know, I gotta know. It's gotta be right, yeah. People pleasing can feel like empathy, but it's actually survival. I used to think it was just I have a lot of empathy, and I do have a lot of empathy, but I was using it wrong. I was an overgiver and a people pleaser, and that isn't how you want to use your empathy. You want to be empathetic, you want to be caring, but not like that. Dissociation can feel like spiritual detachment, but it's actually nervous system shut down. And from the outside looking in, people will have judgments, but they don't know what's going on, you know, and you're still figuring out, oh, how is my trauma affecting me? When the nervous system is dysregulated, intuitive signals become mixed with protective responses. This can cause inaccurate readings, emotional exhaustion, blurred energetic boundaries, feeling overwhelmed by client emotions. When people go, I just feel everything. You don't have to just feel everything all the time. You're allowed to be a human being, even if you're empath or have any other psychic gifts. You can experience burnout and you could doubt your intuitive gifts. I went through a period where I was just doubting mine. I was just so tired. I'm like, how do I trust it anymore? I'm surprised I'd be inaccurate. I wasn't connecting. You know, this is early on because of all the trauma that I was still working through. So trauma-informed psychic development helps separate survival responses from intuitive information. So, and this is where somatic work becomes powerful. This is why you need somatic work. Somatic work strengthens psychic accuracy. It really, really, really, really does. Somatic work helps the body feel safe enough to receive intuitive information clearly. When the body feels safe, the mind becomes quieter. Signal becomes stronger than noise. You begin to recognize the difference between fear and intuition, trauma response and inner knowing, emotional projection and clear guidance. A lot of times us humans do project onto each other. We just do. And people will project in a way to make it seem like they just know you, but they're actually projecting onto you. And even psychics can make that mistake. Somatic practices regulate the nervous system gently. They increase emotional capacity. Yes, so that you can just hold it better and healthier. Right? Energetic boundaries, you need boundaries. Boundaries are not negative at all. Intuitive trust, so that if you're gonna do this work professionally, you gotta trust your intuition. Like when you see these famous people out there just reading, you know, like the Long Island Medium, and you know, they're trusting their intuition, you know, they're confident, they're stable in it. Clarity of psychic impressions, really understanding the information, confidence and decision making. Yes. One of the reasons my intuitive accuracy increased dramatically over the years is because I focused on embodiment because I needed the work. Instead of trying to leave the body to receive intuitive information, which a lot of people think they have to leave their body and separate from human and spirit and travel, and you don't. It's better to stay present in the body. You know, yes, people are gonna go, well, this is how I receive, but you can't keep on leaving your body. I remember one time I was reading for a regular client, thank goodness she's still a regular client. One day I was talking to her and I just floated away. And she's like, What happened to you? What I said, I don't even know. I just kind of separated out. And that's not good because I could have just been disconnected for a long time, right? And so we have to be careful. So instead of trying to leave the body to receive intuitive information, I learned to listen through the body. Your body becomes the instrument, the nervous system becomes a tuning mechanism. That's what it does. And intuition becomes the music, and that's the good part. So signs that your nervous system is supporting your intuition. Let's talk about it. When your nervous system is regulated, intuition often feels calm, neutral, clear, simple, grounded. Intuition rarely feels frantic or dramatic, you know? It rarely feels loud. It rarely pressures you. Accurate intuition often feels like a quiet knowing, a gentle internal yes, a sense of steadiness. Even when the message is difficult, the nervous system still feels anchored. It does. Even when it's a difficult message you have to give to someone. You may notice you second guess yourself less. Intuitive messages come faster. You feel more confident in your interpretations, you feel less drained after intuitive work. Your boundaries improve. You trust your inner voice more. Regulation creates reliability. Sometimes I talk to people and they're like, I had a gift and then it went away. And it and I'm thinking it never went away, but maybe it got put to the side because of other things going on. But I don't think we ever really lose our gift. I think it's always there. But it's like, you know, how much of it can we handle? So let's talk about the three simple practices to strengthen intuitive accuracy. Here are three gentle somatic practices that support intuitive clarity. This is practice one. Hand on heart check-in. Place one hand on your heart, one hand on your stomach. Take a slow breath. Ask yourself, what am I feeling right now? Notice sensations without needing to change them. This helps the nervous system feel safe enough to communicate clearly. You know, people get in trouble when they go, that's not right, that can't be accurate. How is that possible? Don't do that. Allow the information to come without assigning judgment to it. Practice two. Orienting. Slowly look around the room. Let your eyes land on objects that feel neutral or pleasant. This signals safety to the nervous system, right? Becoming familiar with the environment, noticing objects. When the body feels safe, intuitive information flows easily. It does. Practice three. Intuitive yes, no. Practice. Think of something that feels like a clear yes in your life. Notice what happens in your body. Do you feel expansion, warmth? Does it feel more settling, like calming? Now think of something that feels like a clear no. Notice a difference. Is it constriction? Heaviness? Withdrawal. How does it feel like in your body? It can be a little bit different for each person, right? This builds your somatic intuitive language. Now let's talk about why trauma-informed psychic development matters, because it does. It really matters. We all need to be healthier for ourselves, for our families, for our clients. You don't have to burn out doing this work. We're meant to have longevity. I would have never thought I would have had 24 years, almost 25 years doing this work. So psychic development without nervous system awareness can lead to burnout. It can lead to overwhelm. It can lead to blurred boundaries. Trauma-informed intuitive development teaches how to stay grounded while receiving information, how to maintain energetic clarity, how to avoid absorbing emotions that are not yours. How to trust intuitive messages without forcing them. This creates sustainable intuitive growth. That is so important. You know, that you do that. You know, um this gift doesn't have to be a burden, and for some people it is. In my younger years I didn't want it. But it just always stuck around and no matter what work I did, it w the gift was always well an end. Even when I do somatic work, even mediumship if the person's ready will come up during somatic grief healing um session. It it just it's always there and you can use it in many ways. If you do a regular business, you can use your intuition to help you make business decisions. If you're coaching business, you could help be a better coach. There are so many ways that it could come up, but it's only as good as you are clear. What this is how you become a clearer channel by healing your own trauma so that your body can receive information clearly and you could trust it, you won't burn out. Like sometimes psychics get angry or mean because their body's falling apart. They're like, This is what I do for a living. What else am I gonna do? I don't know anything else. And all you need to do is a reset, a refresh, a reset, and really, you know, take care of yourself because you have to take care of yourself first. And this is how you preserve the relationships with your family, your romantic partners, your kids. Don't let it be a burden to your family that you do this work. It should never be a burden to you or to anyone, it should be a blessing. And yes, take breaks and times. I remember I was taking like time off, a month off, a year off here and there. Um, well, not even a full year, but I I've taken time off here and there, right? Because I wanted to heal, I wanted to work on myself. And so if you feel like you want this gift, but you don't know if you're accurate enough, do the somatic work. Hey, if you can't afford to go to a coach, go to a YouTube channel, just do the somatic exercise, work out the trauma, don't run from your pain, don't bury it. A lot of psychics make the mistake of, well, I have this gift, I'm closer to God. I don't have to do therapy, I don't have to do healing work. Oh, yes, you do. You always have to do it, and having a gift doesn't make you exempt from healing, you can't bury it. It will come up. It'll come up in your clients, it'll come up in your body at the darnest times. And my mission is to make make it so that psychics feel very healthy and they can sustain and do this work. That is my mission. Your nervous system is not an obstacle to intuitive development. It is a foundation. And that is something to remember that it is a foundation. So if you plan to develop your gifts, you know, do your inner work. Talk to a therapist if you have trauma. Learn EMDR, learn these different somatic techniques, you know, find a way to take care of yourself. Even if you don't want to join them body psychic pural portal, which is great. This portal is great. Um you know, every course has the nervous system woven into it. We go through all the psychic gifts. Everything. Everything is like studied in detail, boundaries, you know, how to deal with the burnout, you know, learning about the chakra system, learning about what it means to be clear audience, clairvoyant, just everything. Everything's in detail because I'm a wordy person, as you can tell. And so it is important that you take care of yourself no matter how you choose to do it. Because I've seen it throughout the years for some psychics, they're like, I just can't do this anymore. And they just go to a job that they don't want to do or they don't like, they don't expand and do more stuff, you know. Like some psychics will get into Reiki or other energy healing and add on and expand their gifts, and they don't do that, they just quit altogether, and they know something's missing, but they're like, it was bad for my health. And this can become bad for your health if you don't take care of yourself and learn how to deal with your gifts in a somatic way. It can become that way. It happens to a lot of people. So if you want to do this work, it's because you're called to do this work, and you know it's a big business, there's room for everybody. You know, I'm on the platform. We all share clients. I even refer people out. I'm like, don't let me be the only one because that you call, because if I'm not available, what are you gonna do? You have a right to have access to someone, and I always tell them to find four or five, you know, advisors, you know, to work with. And then in my private practice, it's different because that's where I'm doing the psychic coaching and somatic grief coaching. Some of that happens in the readings on the platform, but I keep those worlds separate um because there's more flexibility for people on the platform who don't want to do a half hour or an hour. Maybe they just have a short question or 15 minutes, and some, you know, quite a few will talk for an hour or so, but it's different. But there's so many ways that you could use your gifts and expand your knowledge. And so I want to close with that. And hopefully this information helps you to understand the importance of somatic healing with your psychic gift so that you could grow your gifts safely, protect your body, your mind, your spirit, and give you longevity in the work.
